For women who are passionate about both plump cheeks and animal rights, Restylane® is a choice option for fillers. Savvy Aesthetics in Bell, California, offers two forms of Restylane that allow you to fix your flaws and rest easy knowing that the product isn’t derived from animals.

What is Restylane?

Restylane is a type of filler that notably doesn’t derive its active ingredient, hyaluronic acid, from animals. Instead, it is derived from bacteria. Restylane has many uses to make you appear young and vibrant while allowing you to smile and make expressions that look like they always have. In short, you won’t look frozen or unnatural after an injection.*

Savvy Aesthetics offers two forms of Restylane:

Restylane Refyne

  • Restylane Refyne is designed to smooth the lines that appear when you smile or laugh. If your lines are still shallow and developing, Refyne is the product for you.

Restylane Defyne

  • Restylane Defyne is also used to smooth the lines on your face and is best used for deeper lines and wrinkles.

What can Restylane do?

Restylane Refyne and Defyne boast long-lasting results. Both products can correct:

  • The lines from your nose to the corners of your mouth (nasolabial folds)

  • The lines from the corners of your mouth to your chin (marionette lines)

  • Flat or wrinkly lips

The Savvy team helps you determine which of the two types of Restylane works best for your goals, and whether or not Restylane is the right option of filler for you.

What are the risks of using Restylane fillers?

Like any minimally invasive procedure, Restylane injections come with some risks and side effects. They include:

  • Swelling

  • Bruising

  • Pain or itchiness

  • Headache

Most side effects go away within a couple of weeks after your injection. If you notice anything more serious, you’ll need to call your doctor at Savvy Aesthetics as soon as possible.

Am I a good candidate for Restylane?

Restylane is intended for anyone over the age of 21 who wants to look younger without looking scary or inexpressive. You might not be a good candidate if:

  • You’re under age 21

  • You’re allergic to bacterial proteins

  • You’re pregnant

  • You’re breastfeeding

  • You have a weak immune system

  • You take blood thinners

After a consultation, the Savvy team determines whether or not you’re eligible for the treatment before your first session.
